Originally developed as a pilot project for mitigating the impact of the major repair work on the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine Tunnel, Covoiturage ARTM is a free carpooling application that is available for everyone and can be used throughout the Montreal metropolitan region. Led by the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM) and funded by the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable (MTMD), the Covoiturage ARTM carpooling application connects drivers and passengers to optimize the use of available seats in every single car.
